A.M.I.Mech.E.
A.M.I.Mech.E.(AMIMechE: Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers) is a "grade" within the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, headquartered in London and founded in 1847. This is the grade for graduates (of acceptable degrees or equivalents in engineering, mathematics or science.[1]
Our data thus far has this "grade" or accreditation status in connection with the inventor and patent agent Ridley James Urquhart, and patent agent Clement Lean. It is coming up among others as well, with the data as we apprehend it tilting the usage towards patent agents more so than to inventors. It has to do with the nexus between the two. It gets into the mechanically technical credentials, rather than merely litigative credentials, of at least some patent agents.
