Stefan Drzewiecki was a "Polish scientist, journalist, engineer, constructor and inventor, working in France and the Russian Empire".[1] Also Vienna.

Drzewiecki was a significant developer of the approach of modeling a propeller by certain parameters which would help predict its behavior and performance in an airstream. This approach is called blade element theory.

To do; TO DO: describe his contribution to that theory here and on enmwp. report the unrelated copyvio on w:Flying qualities
