The Архив Российской академии наук (АРАН – Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences) is located in Moscow at Новочерёмушкинская улица, 34. They maintain a website, Информационная система «Архивы Российской академии наук» (ИСАРАН), Information System of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which allows users to read finding aids, catalog information, and more data from the АРАН network.

The archive itself was founded in 1728. Then, it was known as the Архив Конференции Академии наук and the society, founded in 1724, was called the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences.[1]

АРАН also has a branch in St. Petersburg.[2]
