Claude Hamilton Augustus Verity was an aero inventor and engineer, at "Brentwood", Roundhay, Leeds. He was a significant inventor of film and sound recording devices[1][2] who ventured also into aircraft.

There is a reference here to an Edwin and Ann Verity who died at "Brentwood" in 1909 and 1914 ; these could have been Claude's parents. Confirmed from the Wikipedia article -- Edwin was his father and many of his relatives were engineering people.

The meaning of "Brentwood" is not clear. It may have been a mansion/manor.
