Gaetano Arturo Crocco was an aero inventor in Italy. He worked with Ottavio Ricaldoni. As lieutenants in the Italian military they conducted experiments with Forlanini-type hydroplanes at Bracciano.[1]

En.wp says: Crocco "was an Italian scientist and aeronautics pioneer, the founder of the Italian Rocket Society, and went on to become Italy's leading space scientist."[2]

Some French patent data gives "Arturo Gaetano Crocco" and "A. G. Crocco".[3]

British patent data has both Crocco and Ottavio Ricaldoni, filing in collaboration, both identified as Captains of the Aeronautical Brigade of Rome.[4]

We have this designated as the Aeronautical Brigade of the Army Engineers in Rome.[5]
