This patent is a Belgian "brevet" of the "importation" variety, with 1913-01-20 being given as a priority date, with no other national patent office being mentioned, which is odd. Espacenet contains related British and Swiss patents, each of which gives 1914-02-03 as priority date data, and each of which also gives that same date as the application date. Therefore, these were filed before this Belgian patent, though the Belgian makes reference to an even earlier date, possibly that of a German filing preceding the entire family. It could be that Espacenet is using filing dates as priority date data, neither the Swiss nor the British patent making any international reference.
