“One connects the rudder-bar a wheel with a fixed ratchet and two catches managed such that if one acts on the control system in a particular direction, the catch which opposes itself to the displacement in that direction would be disengaged from the ratcheted wheel, though when one moves it in the opposite direction, the other catch, on the contrary, is disengaged from the wheel.”
While our Belgian data gives “R. Caudron”, this is fairly definitely René Caudron. This address data comports with that of Patent GB-1917-127028, in specific connexion with René Caudron.
