System for discharging shells from a balloon. The shells are expelled from the balloon itself, through valves, not fired by people in the basket with guns. The shells may be of "illuminating, asphyxiating, or explosive capacity". Shells may be conveyed on auxiliary balloons, attached to them by ropes.
