Describes several uses of magnetic compass needles aboard an airship:
- cybernetic steering (as in Patent GB-1895-25050),
- mechanism for adjusting the course automatically at a certain point, and
- system for releasing a bomb when the airship finds itself above any large magnetic force,
as well as a timer mechanism for releasing the bomb.
