This is out of our time period but it is an example of a case where the Italian state archives have made the image of the original documents available. The inventor is Guido Castagneris who seems to be patenting in aeronautics from 1891 to the 1930s ; a little hard to believe that. Maybe it's the son of the one patenting in 1891? Or an unrelated person with the same name? Sara Savini, econ/tech historian who works on stationary steam engine data in England, shows me a bit about how to do the searches. She says the digitization of these documents is a work in progress and the archives people are likely to be helpful if I have a specific question. The numbering has changed since the early aero period, or this kind of modelli/fabbrica is different from the "utility" patents I am usually searching. The number 9770 is very small compared to the simple sequential numbers of the 1910s

It is possible this is like a Gebraughsmuster not a standard utility patent.
