Parachute for aviator in and aeroplane or airship. Implied: the aviator will eject from the aircraft; the parachute is not to save the aircraft. So it's the modern use. It seems pretty clearly and properly and feasibly described. The parachute is kept compactly in a tube until it is time to eject and then quickly fills with air. The diagrams do not include a picture of a falling aviator with a parachute, which seems odd -- the focus is on how the parachute itself will be stored and put to use.
- Inventor location: Harrison, Hamilton county, OH (FIPSloc=39061, imputed by HistPat)
- Tech class CPC B64D17/80: Parachutes in association with aircraft, e.g. for braking thereof
