  • This refers to gyroscope patent: Patent US-1912-1186856, to which he refers by date granted, which is unusual, and by patent number, which is also unusual, in the American context, and to another patent with serial number 324731 filed 1919-09-18 (pertaining to a gyroscopic navigational apparatus), and to serial number 365145 filed 1920-03-12 (pertaining to a relay) ; these latter are just slightly odd in that the filing date of this patent itself is 1914-11-13. These dates are later than the filing date of this patent, but earlier than its date granted and its printing. This intellectual property, forecast and reserved as or for inclusion in "divisional patents". This all has to do retrospective content, pertaining to developments occurring after the filing of the document making the references, before the date granted, and before the document's being printed, of course.
