Described as "the first authoritative account"[1] of the Wright Flyer. By Amos Ives Root, editor of a beekeeping magazine called Gleanings in Bee Culture.
The first reference in March 1904 (p. 241) is an offhand mention of the Wright Brothers' flying success as part of the narrative of a story about teaching Sunday School.
The story is taken up again in January 1905 (p. 36)
Root writes that the Brothers were able to get a heavy airplane off the ground and flying at 30–40mph. He doesn't give a lot of description of the aircraft itself.
