Louis Sourbieu was an aero inventor, "chasseur au 1e bataillon d'Afrique", possibly also residing in Carcassonne département Aude, and filing in collaboration with Pierre Pradel, a watchmaker whose family name we are currently trying to decipher.[1] "Chasseur" translates as "hunter". We are not sure whether this was Sourbieu's actual or literal role within the African Battalion. This original is accessible. The inventor with whom Sourbieu collaborated was definitely located in Carcassonne.
We also have him as a railway employee with the Compagnie des chemins de fer du Nord, and as addressed at 8, rue de la Charronnerie, Saint-Denis, département Seine.[2]
