Province de Hainaut
The province de Hainaut, currently called le Hainaut ( Henegouwen (nl) ; Hennegau (de) ), is a province of western Belgium situated in the région wallonne.[1]
Cultural and historic Picardie also extending into France, dovetails geographically therefore also with data on various French locations, particularly those of French Picardie. Indeed Wallonie picarde is another name for Hainaut occidental.
We may or may get into the territorial changings of hands between Belgium and France. It all predates all but the vert earliest of aero developments.
